Water World

Sunday, May 28th, 2006

Note: 1st things first. I would to remind everyone that the title may be "Water World" but this is not about the movie 11 years ago. This blog has nothing to do  with that movie.

It has been a year now since we left our home town (san pedro, laguna) and started living here in Sucat, Muntinlupa. It’s been great here in Posadas. There’s a Dencio’s restau nearby (which is just a walk away from here) and also 19east–where almost everyday, celebrity bands and singers perform there. The way to school and office is also VERY easy and so accessible. From the travel time of 2 hours from San Pedro to Manila is now down to 30-50minutes from here in Sucat to Manila.

Although there are advantages in our decision to move here in Sucat, there are still disadvantages that are very drastic. It’s only here that we 1st time encountered how was it like to be flooded. YES, it’s our very 1st time to experience a flood inside our house. I think that was back 9-11 months ago (rainy season).

Last night, it started raining again. And as WE expected, water comes in our floor. My cousins and I removed the carpets, move the electronics to the 2nd floor, lift the sofas and, place it in wooden chairs, and watch the water as it goes up. It’s now common to me and I accepted that it will always flood in here. But for my Mom and Dad who got home 10pm last night from their outing in Zambales, they were depressed of what happened again.

They arrived 10pm, open the gates of the garage and saw me spilling out all the water from inside the house to the drainage outside. Yup, there’s still water in the house the time they arrived that’s why they were so depressed. I felt their sadness. I saw it in their eyes especially in my father’s. He helped me mop the floor after draining the water. He’s quiet. I’ve been telling him stories and talking about stuffs but he’s just quiet. About my mother, she just went up to their room for she can’t even look at the floor and see what’s happening. She’s almost crying. I can hear her sniff.

After cleaning the house, my father went up to their room. My cousins and I just continued to play in the PC. It’s the only way I can ease the pain for myself. Temporarily. It’s hard for me to see them in such a state. Luckily my brother was out that time (he was in Laguna, visiting his girlfriend) and he did not saw the depression our parents showed me.

Wait… my brother is in my friend’s list! lolz. He might read this.

Anyway, that’s all for today. Reactions/comments/prayers would be so much appreciated… well.. if people do visit my blog. hehe.

The User-friendly Network

Friday, May 26th, 2006

As we all can see, Friendster now looks VERY different. The new home page looks very simple but yet it has all we ‘really’ need in a "friend" network. The "popular/hottie/new" tab is awesome and much more, the whole layout looks GREAT. Those are some of the new features friendster gave us this week for a much better experience for all members here. The previous updates were nice and good. e.g: Pusit.com integration to the classifieds. (for Filipinos, and btw.. I would like to give thanks to AJ Batac, the man behind Pusit.com hehe… AJ.. man-libre ka! lolz)

The thing is, that’s not what I’m going to write for today. Well, as it’s obvious, I haven’t blogged in friendster after a long time. Why? I had a much better blog (as I thought it was… before). There are now bloggers shocked at the VISITORS they get and comments they recieve in their blog(friendster) now. Friendster now randomly features blogs in everyone of its user’s home page. (though the home page is quite buggy e.g: index.php error…)
I admit, I get tired of blogging because 1.) No one reads it unless they didn’t know you updated your blog, 2.) Only your ‘friends’ will know that you updated your blog (back then), 3.) There’s nothing to blog about. LOL

Friendster is getting better. WE ALL KNOW THAT. But, it’s still quite buggy. Sometimes my friends list tell me that I have "0" friends, the email alerts came in late, and the most popular bug now after this great new update… the "error /index.php not found".

Now, that’s something to look forward to. Right? hehe.

P.S. to those who visits my profile whose question to me is always… "How did you change the look of your profile?", don’t message me anymore. Here’s the site where you guys can learn how to personalize more your profile.
